The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) works at the heart of Ontario's power system. The IESO delivers key services across the electricity sector including: managing the power system in real-time, planning for the province's future energy needs, enabling conservation and designing a more efficient electricity marketplace to support sector evolution.

Stay informed and have a say
Regional electricity network members are residents, business owners, municipal leaders, and members of Indigenous communities. They learn more about electricity and provide insight into local and regional needs, issues and priorities. Join conversations about planning a reliable and affordable electricity system for your region and the province.
Network meetings will happen throughout fall 2019 and spring 2020. The next one is in Sault Ste. Marie on December 3.

Targeted funding application window now open
The indoor agriculture sector is seeing unprecedented growth in Ontario, resulting in a significant increase to the demand for electricity.
Through the Grid Innovation Fund, the IESO is offering grants for innovative projects that are focused on reducing electricity demand from indoor agriculture during local and bulk system peak periods.
The intake window for proposals is open from November 18, 2019 to February 14, 2020. See the Call for Proposals for more information about this funding opportunity.
